The Discovery and Metadata Coordinator provides vision, leadership, and innovation for the division’s efforts to ensure its rich variety of physical and digital information resources are findable and accessible. The Discovery and Metadata Coordinator collaborates with personnel across the division, throughout the university, and with external partners to ensure access to and discovery of resources within the division. This position holds a faculty appointment with rank leading to tenure. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

|Required Education and/or Experience||
Master’s degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited school or approved terminal degree. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the provision of technical services in an academic library setting with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a managerial or leadership role
|Preferred Education and/or Experience||
Five (5) or more years of experience in management positions in an academic library; Demonstrated experience in developing working partnerships with a variety of groups; Experience with Innovative Interfaces integrated library system (Sierra), EBSCO discovery system, WorldShare Record Manager, and WorldShare Collection Manager.
